ORONO – Katherine Elizabeth Lewis, 64, died March 1, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 14, 1940, in Geneva, N.Y., the daughter of Harold Chapin and Margaret Ellen (Dolan) Clark. Katy was a graduate of the University of Maine with a master’s degree in education. She had formally been employed by the G. M. Pollack & Sons jewelers. Katy was an avid reader and enjoyed her flower gardens. Surviving are two sons, Daniel A. Lewis and his wife, Melissa, of Brewer, David A. Lewis of Tucson, Ariz.; one granddaughter, Cassandra Lewis of Brewer; two sisters, Mary Esther Izzo and Margaret Brophy, both of New York; a special Aunt Mary Dolan of New York; nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Penn Yan, N.Y.
