DENNYSVILLE – Barbara B. Lingley, 73, died on March 1, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 12, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Hazel Brown. She lived all her life in Dennysville, attending Dennysville High School, teaching Sunday school, being a librarian at the Lincoln Memorial Library, and a member of the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church. She enjoyed staying at home raising her family and keeping the books for Clyde Lingley and Sons Garage. She enjoyed quilting, having made one for each member of the family, playing cards, walking, and Saturday lunches with the family. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Clyde W. Lingley of Dennysville; four children, Gail Preston and her husband, Dennis, Harry Lingley and his wife, Judy, Wayne Lingley and his wife, Alice, and Linda Seeley and her husband, Thomas. She also considered Donald Lingley and his wife, Cindy, as her children; nine grandchildren, Heidi Leighton and her husband, Eddie, Molly Avery and her husband, Luke, Matthew Seeley, Kristy Crawford and her husband, Brett, Morgan Seeley and her fianc?, Rob Baker, Rebecca Lingley, Sarah Lingley, Stephanie Eakins and her husband, Nathan, Stephen Lingley; four great-grandchildren, Alayna Caricofe, Preston Leighton, Katie Leighton, and Cameron Avery; and a special friend, Bertha Mattheson. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Flagg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church with Pastor Windhorst, officiating, interment will be in the Dennysville Cemetery in the spring. Those wishing to remember Barbara in a special way may contribute in her memory to the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church Building Fund, or the Dennysville Fire and Ambulance Dept.
