KATHLEEN ELIZABETH (BRYSON) TUFTS PRESQUE ISLE – Kathleen Elizabeth (Bryson) Tufts passed into the house of the Lord May 22, 2005, peacefully with loving family at her side. She was born March 31, 1926, in Bairdsville, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Iva Mary (Armstrong) Bryson. She was a resident of Presque Isle, for more than 30 years. Kathleen ‘Kay’ was known for her kindness and caring ways. Kathleen ‘Kay’ is survived by her six children, Linda A. Bear, Meridian, Conn., Peter J. Hersom and his wife, Diane, of Garland, Texas, Patrick M. ‘Mike’ Hersom and his wife, Shelby, of Espanola, N.M., Martin L. Hersom and Julie Brooks of Bowdoin, Martha J. Aldrich and her husband, Fletcher of Clovis, N.M., Kathryn H. Higgins and her husband, Daniel, of Mapleton; as well as her brothers, Jack, Ronald, Lewis and Leon; and her sisters, Roberta, Patricia, and Serena, all of Canada; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband, Dana; her brothers, Joseph, Patrick, Bernie, Stephen and James; sisters, Margaret, Yvonne, Alice and Isabelle; several nieces and nephews; and a dearly beloved grand-daughter, Tammy Rae Hersom. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Aroostook. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. EST Friday at the Presbyterian Rural Cemetery in Perth-Andover, N.B., Canada. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle.
