HODGDON – Keith L. Barton, 80, died July 15, 2006, in Houlton. He was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Hodgdon, the son of Ralph and Blanche (Duff) Barton. He was a veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of American Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine (Ruth) Barton of Hodgdon; 10 children, Kenneth Barton of Bolton, Conn., John Barton of Bellingham, Mass., Sally Geer of Manchester, Conn., Cindy Peters of Baileyville, Ronald Barton of Manchester, Conn., Lawrence Barton of Boscawen, N.H., Crystal Suitter of Belmont, N.H., Peggy Matzdorff of Coventry, Conn., Jane Barton of Belmont, N.H. and Carol Perron of Willimantic, Conn.; several grandchildren and great-grand-children; one brother and two sisters, Grace Ellison of South Carolina, Lewis Barton of Kansas and Jean Stewart of Raymond; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Terrance; one grandson, Matthew; and three brothers, Frank, David and Roger. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Interment will be in the East Hodgdon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Hodgdon Baptist Church, care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 579, Houlton, ME 04730.
