COLUMBUS, Ohio – Keith W. Xirinachs died unexpectedly Nov. 6, 2004, as the result of a car accident. The son of Michael and Susan (Lyford) Xirinachs, he was born in Sommerville, N.J., on Aug. 1, 1972, and grew up in Brewer. During Keith’s younger years, he played Little League baseball and PAL basketball. For two years he was associated with the Penobscot Theatre’s “A Christmas Carol,” and he had a leading role in their dinner theatre production of “A Thousand Clowns.” He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1990. He graduated from Brewer High School in 1991. Then he attended Franklin Pierce and St. Anselm’s College in New Hampshire and the University of Southern Maine. He graduated from Concord College in Princeton, W. Va., with a B.S. degree in Business Admin/Finance. He was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. After graduation he became a district executive for the Tri State area of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. At the time of his death, he was self-employed as a legal case manager. He was an avid sports fan. In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his maternal grandparents, Bud and Jean Lyford of Brewer; his aunt and uncle, Peter and Marcia Lyford of Eddington; his cousins, Liana Scovil of Orrington and Ryan Lyford of Portland. His paternal family; sister, Mrs. Loraine Fratus of Groton, Conn., Mrs. Arlene Brown and her husband, Cal, of Ledyard, Conn., Marlinda Langone and her husband, Paul, of Reading, Mass., Mrs. Rosanne Kilpatrick and her husband, Sam, of Ledyard, Conn.; brothers, Mr. Michael Xirinachs III and his wife, Nancie, of Commack, N.Y., Mr. Karl Xirinachs and his wife, Mary, of Ledyard, Conn., and Stephen Xirinachs and his wife, Doreen, of San Diego, Calif.; several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Nikita. Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at the First Methodist Church of Brewer with the Rev. Dr. George C. Curtis officiating. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Brewer immediately following.
