PRESQUE ISLE – Kenneth A. Adams 79, died May 27, 2004, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. He was born May 23, 1925, in Madison, the son of Arthur and Elsie (High) Adams. Kenneth had been employed as a brakemen then later as a conductor for the B & A Railroad for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Trinity Lodge No. 130 A.F. & A.M. and Anah Temple Shrine. Kenneth had also been a past president of the Railroad Union and a past member of The Presque Isle Lodge of Elks, the Hayward Frazier Post 2599 VFW and the Abanaki Club. Mr. Adams enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and his family. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by a son, Arthur Adams of Auburn; two daughters and their husbands, Betty and Lawrence Hammond of Easton, Bonnie and Robert Belyea of E Plantation; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Herbert Adams; two sisters, Irene Kelley of Vernon, British Columbia, and Maude Buckley of Guysboro, Novia Scotia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
