KENNETH J. BATTISTA GRAND LAKE STREAM Kenneth James Battista, 58, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at his home. Kenny served in Vietnam with Mike Co. 3rd Battlion 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 0023, Baileyville. He loved the Red Sox, woodworking and helping his friends whenever they needed it. Kenny was predeceased by his father, James Battista; and grandparents, Kenneth and Anne Stanchfield. He is survived by his wife, Christy Battista of Grand Lake Stream; children, Shannon Campbell and her husband, Scott, of Princeton, Anthony Battista of Washington and Kimberly Battista of Bangor; grandchildren, Ashley and Trevor; his mother, Norma Battista; and his sisters, brother, many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his canine companion, Tatum. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Grand Lake Stream Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held after the service at the schoolhouse at Grand Lake Stream. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenny’s memory may be made to Christy Battista, P.O.
