SANGERVILLE and DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kenneth J. Burke, 61, a summer resident of Center Pond, died Jan. 10, 2006, at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Fla. He was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and retired from Verizon in 2001. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the International Christian Center of Daytona Beach. Ken was an artist, using many mediums including black and white drawing, acrylic painting and sculpting. He was an avid reader and computer user. In addition to his wife of 36 years, Patty, he is survived by two sons, Matthew and Michael, both of Long Island, N.Y.; and a sister, Sharon D’Allessandro of Islip, N.Y. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange, Fla., where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13.
