HARRINGTON – Kenneth M. Seamans, 85, died Feb. 15, 2008, at his home. He was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Kenduskeag, the son of Ralph Earl and Lucy (Calder) Seamans. Ken grew up on a dairy farm in Kenduskeag and helped teach this family about cutting hay. He was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything that was broken and was called upon many times by family and friends. He enjoyed gardening and always had a beautiful garden. He also enjoyed camping and snowmobiling with Polly and family. Ken will be remembered driving his old John Deer tractor and for his love of macaroni and cheese, and pot roast. He was a member of the Narraguagus Snowmobile Club, a life member of Kenduskeag Lodge No. 137 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Consistory of Portland, the Anah Shrine of Bangor and life member of Anah Temple Mini cars. He is survived by four sisters, Ruth Kokstein, Phylis Seamans, Joyce and Lois White; stepdaughters, Beth and her husband, Walt Stadler, and Hulda and her husband, Charlie Peterson; granddaughter, Leanne Ortega and husband, Luis; grandsons, Roger Peterson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Chuckie Peterson and his wife, Bonnie, of Cherryfield, Michael Peterson and Timothy Peterson and his wife, Dea, all of Harrington; great-grand-children, Cassandra and Brit-tney Chase Maddison, Zakary, Kristine and Autumn Peterson; great-great-granddaughter, Sierra Hernandez; and a special friend, Cassie Mele. He is also survived by his dog, Buffy; and his cats, Jack and Jill. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Glenn; brothers-in-law, Gordon White and Whitey Kokstein; and his partner, Pauline Hartford. A service of remembrance will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Harrington Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Davis, pastor, officiating. A Masonic service will be celebrated by the officers and members of Tuscan Lodge No. 106 AF & AM, Addison. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
