LINCOLN – Kenneth R. Moore Sr., 85, husband of Marjorie (Reardon) Moore, died July 31, 2007, at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Medway, the son of John and Elizabeth (Michaud) Moore. Kenneth was one of five sons who served in the U.S. Armed forces during World War II. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Nov. 23, 1942, assigned to Company L, 339th Infantry Regiment, where he served as an infantryman and machine gunner. His honors include the Combat Infantry Badge. He returned to Medway after his discharge Nov. 15, 1945, where he served G.N.P. for 43 years at the East Millinocket plant, retiring in 1983. Marjorie Reardon became his bride Nov. 10, 1942, and they raised five children, Kenneth Jr., of Colorado, Barbara Hartford and Michael, both of Lincoln, Virginia Simons of Bath, and Chris of Brewer. He also leaves two siblings, Cal and Elizabeth; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by six siblings, Emily, Johnny, Charlie, Henry, Edgar, and Fred; as well as one grandchild. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway, with the Rev. Ralph Jacobs officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
