ELLINGTON, Conn. – Kent A. Braddock, 48, son of Elizabeth Marie (Hunter) Braddock and the late James Braddock Sr., died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford, with family members at his side. Mr. Braddock was born Sept. 2, 1955, in Washburn, and was employed as a carpenter. Kent loved gardening and traveling and greatly enjoyed the outdoors and camping. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Bristol, and the Homebuilder’s Association of America. In addition to his mother, Mr. Braddock is survived by 11 brothers; James, Robert, Gary, Dennis, Paul and David Braddock, all of Bristol, Conn., Lester and Gladen Braddock, both of South Windsor, Conn., Roger Braddock of Simsbury, Conn., Steven Braddock of Harwinton, Conn., and Donald Braddock of Potsdam, N.Y.; four sisters, Wilma Keene of Morris, Conn., Joyce Meagher of Naugatuck, Conn., Paula Plissey of Washburn, and Barbara Baranauskas of Waterbury, Conn.; and more than 100 surviving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial, at the convenience of the family, will be held in Washburn in the spring.
