WARREN – Kevin B. Augustine, 38, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Maine Medical Center, Portland. Born April 16, 1965, at Mars Hill, he was the son of Robert N. and Gertrude Dinsmore Augustine. Moving to this area at a young age, Kevin attended Warren schools and was a 1983 graduate of Medomak Valley High School, Waldoboro. Following high school, Kevin spent four years in the U.S. Marines, serving 18 months in the Philippines and the remainder of his tour at Camp Lejeune and various bases throughout the United States. After he was discharged from the Marines, he owned and operated his own plumbing business in the midcoast area. Kevin loved spending time with his children and was a great father. He loved his family and was always there to help when he was needed, his family said. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing a variety of sports. In addition to his parents of Warren, Kevin is survived by three children, Tasha and Travis Augustine of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Ashley Narvey of Eel Ground, New Brunswick; one brother, Robert Augustine Jr. of Rockland; one sister, Kimberly Barter and her husband, Rob, of South Thomaston; one niece, Cheyenne Augustine of Warren; one nephew, Robbie Barter of South Thomaston; and special friend, Shannon Merrill of Washington. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Second Congregational Church, Main Street, Warren. The Rev. Robin Honaker will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maine Children’s Cancer Fund, 100 US Route One, Unit 107, Scarborough, ME 04074. Arrangements are under the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland.
