DIXMONT – Friends and family of Kevin Cookson, who died Jan. 9, 2007, are invited to attend a gathering in celebration of his life 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Abol Bridge on the Penobscot River. Kevin’s spirit lives on. He was an intrepid explorer and an enthusiastic white water guide. It is appropriate then that we meet when the water is high and spring is unfolding around us. Come bring a story, a song or poem, and celebrate his wild and fearless spirit.
