MADAWASKA and NEW SWEDEN – Kimberly Sue Desjardins, 37, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 30, 1971, in Caribou, the daughter of Joseph Omar and Norma (Akerson) Lagasse. Kimberly grew up in New Sweden and graduated from Caribou High School in 1989. She worked as a sales account representative for Synergy. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a fun, down-to-earth person, who could make people laugh very easily. In addition to her parents, Joseph and Norma of New Sweden, she is survived by her children, Cassandra and Molly Davenport and Robbie Desjardins, all of Madawaska; a stepdaughter, Kayla Desjardins of Grand Isle; three sisters, Cheryl Lagasse of New Sweden, Lori Nichols of Caribou and Brenda Skidds of Berwick; two half brothers, Gary and Tommy Lagasse, both of Sanford; also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kimberly will also be remembered by a lifelong special friend, Charlie Pelkey, who is more like a brother. Memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with the Rev. John Palmer and Brenda Farley officiating.
