THORNDIKE and STOCKTON SPRINGS – Kurtis Isaah Santana, 9, of Thorndike left us Friday, July 15, 2005. Kurtis was born Aug. 10, 1995, in Belfast. He was a country boy who loved four wheeling, farm work, animals, and playing in the brook. Kurtis also loved sports especially playing baseball, and basketball, and was starting his first year of football which he was so excited to begin. “The Pool Shark” he had a natural talent for playing pool. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Richard Curtis; and a brother, Lito Alicea. Kurtis is survived by his parents, Tracy and Edwin Santana Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Christie Curtis; paternal grandparents, Eliseo and Josefa Santana; granpa, Harold Larrabee and Nana Joyce Larrabee; his brothers, Sean, Edwin Jr. and Aaron Santana; aunts and uncles, Mike and Cammie Curtis and family, Sherry Curtis and family, Paul Curtis and family, Eliseo Jr. and Nerida Santana and family, Wilfredo and Rosa Santana and family, Sandra and Orsin and family, Claribel and family, and Harold Santana and family. He will also be missed by his best buddy, Jay Babin; his teacher, Miss Guptil; and coaches, Dave, Mark and Ted. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the family’s home at 292 Mount View Rd, Thorndike. Please come in casual attire as Kurtis did not like to dress up. Arrangements are under the care of the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so in Kurtis’s memory to the Unity Little League.
