FORT FAIRFIELD – Kyle A. Reed, 18, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born July 27, 1988, at Caribou, the son of Edward A. “Tony” Reed and Roberta L. (Lagasse) Reed. He was educated in the Fort Fairfield school system, having graduated in 2006 and attended the University of Maine – Presque Isle. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, and was credited with tagging the second largest bear in Maine, at the age of 15. He enjoyed fishing and skeet shooting. Kyle will be fondly remembered for his many acts of kindness by his numerous friends and family. Kyle was one of the best sons and brothers in the world. He was predeceased by his father, Edward A. “Tony” Reed in 2005. He is survived by his mother, Roberta L. Reed; one sister, Adrienne M. Reed, both of Fort Fairfield; paternal grandparents, Gail Kerry of Fort Fairfield, Edward Reed and his wife, Barbara, of Cambria, Ill.; maternal grandparents, Bertrand Lagasse and Jeanette Lagasse, both of Fort Fairfield; one half brother, John P. Reed; one nephew, Mitchell A. Reed; special friends, Gerald Brayall Sr. and family, all of Fort Fairfield. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 166 Main St., Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Susan Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, at a later date. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held immediately after the service at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who choose may contribute in memory of Kyle to the Ryan R. Clark Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 427, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are in the care of the Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
