WINN – Henry E. Miller, 75, died suddenly Dec. 5, 2003, at a Lincoln hos-pital. He was born in Winn, April 26, 1928, the son of Henry and Ida (Seams) Miller. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 143rd Tank Battalion, from 1950-1952. While serving in Germany, he met his future wife, Josefine. They celebrated their 50 years of marriage in February 2003. Henry worked as a crane operator for Callaghan’s for many years. He later worked for H.C. Haynes and Richard Peters in their woods operations before retiring from his own business, Miller’s Industrial Knives. Henry and Jo enjoyed traveling in Maine, Canada and made several trips to Europe. He was predeceased by his father years ago; and by a son Dolan in March 2003. He is survived by his wife, Josefine of Winn; his mother, Ida Grant of Howland; a son, Hans Miller and his wife, Cissy, of Mattawamkeag; grandchildren, Blake and Nicholas Miller of Mattawamkeag; two sisters, Marilyn Pelkey of Winn, and Shirley Worcester of Lincoln; grandchildren, Richard and Stephen Miller and Stacy Beek; and a great-grandchild, Jade Beek, all of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and friends; brother-in-law, Josef Grill, sister-in-law, Auguste Dietz, and many relatives and friends in Germany who loved him. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev.
