MADAWASKA and MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Laurendy ‘Candy’ Myers, 76 years and seven months, died Feb. 26, 2005, in Mount Pleasant, S.C. She was born in Riviere Bleu, P.Q., Canada the daughter of the late Camille and Adelia (Landry) Laplante. She is survived by seven sons, Ronald and his wife, Linda, of Berlin, Conn., Jack and his wife, Angelique, of St. Jacques, N.B., Canada, John and his wife, Mado, of Hilton Head, S.C., David and his wife, Katie, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Jim and his wife, Renee, and Lawrence Jr. and his wife, Beth, all of Frederick, Md., Ricky and his companion, Keith, of Sabbattus; two daughters, Lorraine and her husband, James, of Tuscon, Ariz., Joan and her husband, Louis, of Edmundston, N.B.; one brother, Daniel Dalpe and his wife, Louise; five sisters, Huguette Losier and her husband, Emilien, of Edmundston, N.B., Renette Pelletier of Marmora, Ontario, Canada, Ghislaine Corbeil and her husband, Andre, of St. Bruno, Quebec, Jocelyne Voisine and her husband, Martin, and Nicole Dalpe all of St. Jacques, N.B.; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Laureat and Bert Laplante; and by two sisters, Camilla D’Amours and Yolande Deslauriers. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Graveside interment will take place July 8, in the St. Thomas Cemetery. Announcement of the services will be published immediately prior to July 8.
