HERMON – Lauretta M. Daigle, 84, died Jan. 6, 2006, at a Bangor hospital surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in St. Francis, the daughter of Daniel and Delina (Thibodeau) Pelletier. Lauretta was an honorary member of the Bridgewater, Conn. Fire Department Auxiliary and a 46 year member of the Bridgewater, Conn. Grange. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lorenzo “Roy” Daigle of Hermon; three sons, Daniel Daigle and his wife, Patti, of Vernon Hills, Ill., John Daigle and his wife, Christine, of Newtown, Conn., James Daigle and David of Boca Raton, Fla.; four daughters, Shirley and her husband, Joe Higgins, of Bangor, Germaine and her husband, Tom Murphy, of Torrington, Conn., Adrienne and her husband, Bruce Buzzell, of Hermon, Cecile Daigle and Gil of Hampden; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her three brothers. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 754 Ohio St., Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, Pastor, Presider. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately following the interment.
