ST. DAVID – Laurette Lavertu, 68, died Dec. 11, 2007, at her residence. She was born Dec. 22, 1938, in Grand Isle, the daughter of Clovis and Annie (Beaulieu) Carrier. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lavertu of St. David; two sons, Gary Lavertu of Everett, Mass., and Brian Lavertu and his wife, Vickie, of St. David; one daughter, Ann Gendreau of Carmel; three brothers, Edgar Carrier of Madawaska, Reno Carrier of Newington, Conn., and Leo James Carrier of Grand Isle; three sisters, Therese Roberge of Florida, Jeannine Daigle of St. David and Rejeanne Ross of Bristol, Conn.; four grandsons, Dustin and Eric Gendreau, Benjamin and Mathew Lavertu; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle. Friends and relatives may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Caribou Veterans’ Cemetery.
