BANGOR – Laurie L. Sands, 42, died Nov. 25, 2003, at a local hospital and went to be with her Lord. She was born July 14, 1961, in Bangor, the daughter of Clark and LuRee (St. Thomas) Sands. Laurie was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and was loved very much by her family and will be deeply and sadly missed. She is survived by her father and his wife, Clark and Joan Sands of Garland; her mother and her husband, LuRee and Charles Harris; her former husband, Herbert Hasenbank Sr.; one son, Herbert Hasenbank Jr.; one daughter, Kristi Hasenbank all of Bangor; six brothers, Dennis Sands of Bangor, Randolph Sands of Hampden, Clark Sands Jr. and his wife, Angel, of Levant, William T. Sands and his wife, Amanda, of Newburgh, Troy Sands of Kenduskeag, Jeffrey Sands and his wife, Doreen, of Carmel; one sister and her husband, Penny and Stephen Theriault of Levant; one very special grandson, Alec P. Gustin of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor with Rev. Duane Lovley, pastor of the Newburgh Full Gospel Church, officiating. Friends may call from 12 noon Saturday until time of the service.
