CALAIS – Lawrence E. Noddin, 90, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at a Calais nursing home. Larry was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Upper Mills, New Brunswick, son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hayman) Noddin, and stepson of Chester Noddin. He was a member of Alley Lodge of Upper Mills, N.B., for several years and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Calais. Larry retired from the Woodland Georgia Pacific Mill in 1980, where he was an electrician by trade. Surviving are his wife, Rhoda (Greenlaw) Noddin of Calais; two daughters, Nancy McCann and her husband, Ward, of St. Stephen, N.B., and Carole Lewis and her husband, Barry, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Derek McCann and his wife, Heidi, Carla McCann of St. Stephen, N.B., Melanie Bernardi and her husband, Gian, Amanda Lewis and Ashley Lewis of New York; and a great-grandson, Keaton McCann. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, at which time a funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Bob Hinton. A spring burial will be held in Baring Cemetery.
