TOWNSHIP NO. 8 – Rodney Moon, 54, died unexpectedly March 11, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 18, 1950, in Bangor, the son of the late Kenneth and Marilyn (Lindsey) Moon. Rodney worked in construction for many years, most recently for CPM Constructors of Freeport. He was a member of the Surry Community Center. He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling and camping. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Sylvia (Fox) Moon of Township No. 8; three children, Lindsay Moon of Township No. 8, Trevor Moon and his companion, June, of East Blue Hill, Jenny (Moon) Black and her husband, Lewis, of Blue Hill; a brother, Randy Moon of Township No. 8; a sister, Darcel (Moon) Winslow and her husband, Reggie, of Waltham; one grandchild, Ethan Moon of East Blue Hill; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rodney was predeceased by a son, Wayne (Budget) Moon; and an infant sister, Ada Moon. Family and friends are invited to call 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005.
