ORONO and LAGRANGE – Lawrence “JR” H. Nadeau, 46, died after a battle with Leukemia on March 7, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 25, 1957, in Old Town, the son of Lawrence Sr. and Helen (Parks) Nadeau. “JR” was an avid sportsman in fishing, hunting and stock car racing. He was employed by E. J. Prescott in Bangor. “JR” enjoyed raising farm animals and rebuilding cars. He will be sadly missed by man’s best friends, Gizmo and Bridgette. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his best friend and fianc_, Ronda Mason; a stepson, Charles Wooten of LaGrange; brothers, Norris and wife, Carrie, of Milford, Troy and wife, Shelley, of Old Town; sisters, Tammy Holt and husband, Arthur, of Ellsworth, Kelley Frey and husband, Rodney, of Orono, and Ericka Nadeau of Orono; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to meet with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Brookings-Smith, 72 Main St., Orono, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 12, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, Director of Chaplaincy Services at EMMC, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. Gifts in “JR’s” memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
