LEDA (CARON) RAYMOND FORT KENT – Leda (Caron) Raymond, 89, died Jan. 28, 2004, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born April 8, 1914, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Denise and Clarisse (Albert) Caron Leda enjoyed playing the mandolin with her husband and son, Clifford. She was a cook at Northern Maine Medical Center until her retirement at the age of 72. For a time, she did crocheting and also worked for Prencis Kent Inc. in Fort Kent. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her seven sons, Clifford and his wife, Marie of Troy, N.Y., Maurice and his wife, Charmain, of Cohoes, N.Y., Patrick and his wife, Bonita, of Fort Kent, Gallant and his wife, Marie, of Madawaska, Roland and his wife, Louise, of Bourne, Mass., Real and his wife, Geri, of Fort Kent, James of St. Agatha; one daughter, Doris and her husband, Jacques Nadeau, of St. Halaire, N.B.; two sisters, Marie Pinette of Van Buren and Rita Charette of Fort Kent; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred Raymond in 1995; four baby daughters, two brothers, Minal and Patrick Caron; and one sister, Amanda Pelletier. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent and 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held 10 a.m. May 17, 2004, in the Holy Family Cemetery in Daigle.
