EAST MILLINOCKET – Lee J. Brewer, 79, husband of the late Louise F. (Surr-ette) Brewer, died April 8, 2005, at a Brewer health care center. He was born June 29, 1925, in East Millinocket, the son of Earl and Florence (Craig) Brewer. Lee was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a life-long resident of East Millinocket where he worked for the town with the public works department for several years. He also enjoyed the times he spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Paula McPheters and her husband, Paul, of Brewer; one brother, Gerald Brewer and his wife, Joan, of East Millinocket; two grandchildren, Kimberly Huff and her husband, Charlie, of Windham and Amy McPheters of Old Orchard Beach; one great-grandson, Dylan of Windham; one nephew and many nieces; a special cousin, Gary Brewer of East Millinocket. He was predeceased by his loving wife of many years Dec. 3, 2004. At Lee’s request, a graveside service will be held at the time of his wife’s burial later in the spring at East Millinocket.
