HOULTON – LeMoyne Buena (Cutlip) Izzo, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Dec. 23, 2007, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Buchanan, W.V., the daughter of the Rev. Nevie and Mary (Webster) Cutlip. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Michael, with whom she had four sons. She was predeceased by two of these sons, Joseph Michael and Ronald Nevie; one sister, Carlyn; and one bro-ther, Daniel. She is survived by Joseph’s wife, Maribeth, and their children, Ann Marie, Suz-anne and Brian, all of Florida and North Carolina; sons, Stephen and his wife, Donna (Crane) and their daughter, Kathryn “Katie” and their son, David and his wife, Christina (Mitchell), and their children, Arianna, Hanna and “the boss,” Joshua, all of Houlton, and her youngest son, John, of Buford, Ga.; two sisters, Ceila Hall of Staten Island, N.Y., and LeMarne and her husband, Charles Helder, of Lake Placid, Fla.; along with many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Chris, Sheila, Thelma and Carl. She shared the last year with her family in Houlton and had five special “protectors,” Sammy, Shadow, Scruffy, Scrappy and Princess. Mom was a registered nurse for more than 40 years, after graduation from Brooklyn Methodist School of Nursing in 1939. She worked in hospitals in New York and Florida. Mom also helped dad build and operate several restaurants in the New York and New Jersey areas. The family thanks all who shared mom’s life the past few months, Pastors Elaine and Bernie Jordan, Jane Zimmerman, Colleen London, Virginia Boles, along with many church friends that prayed, called with words of encouragement, sat with her to give the family respite, and sent cards and flowers. God bless you. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Fruit of the Spirit Ministries Church, 47 New Limerick Road, Linneus.
