GRAND FALLS, New Brunswick – Mr. Leo Martin, 92 years and five months, passed away July 2, 2006, at a Grand Falls, New Brunswick hospital, after a long bout with cancer. He was the husband of Pauline Maltais. He was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Drummond, New Brunswick, a son of Emile Martin and Louise Leclerc. Mr. Martin was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Falls Branch 21. He worked for the Great Northern Paper Co. of East Millinocket for 25 years. After his retirement, he returned to make his home at Saint-Leonard, New Brunswick, where they have lived until his passing away. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he leaves three sisters, Delia Dupuis of Montreal, Quebec, Albina Serre of Ottawa, Ontario and Emilie Laforest of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Atlantic Time, Wednesday and 2-4 p.m. Thursday, day of the funeral, at O’Regan’s Chapel, 83 Saint-Antoine Street, Saint-Leonard.
