SANDY POINT – Leola Boynton Drew, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in a Bangor healthcare facility after a short illness. She was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Brewer, the only daughter of Leon A. Boynton and Julia (Smith) Boynton of Brewer. She was predeceased in 1981 by her husband of 34 years, Carl S. Drew. She was a graduate of Brewer High School and the University of Rhode Island School of Pharmacy. She worked as a pharmacist in Waldo and Penobscot counties and was a member of the Sandy Point Congregational Church and active participant in the Ladies’ Aid of the church.
