PRESQUE ISLE – Leon A. “Bud” Strout, 76, died Sunday morning, July 16, 2006, at a campground in Hermon. He was born July 17, 1929, in Charleston, the son of Ralston and Nellie (Robbins) Strout. Bud served in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan. He was a retired farmer and had worked at Vahlsing Inc. in Easton for 14 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores “Doe” (Holmes) Strout of Presque Isle; two brothers and their wives, Aubrey and Joan Strout of Lamoine and Edgar and Winnie Strout of Easton; two sisters and their husbands, Florence and Gerald Turner of Dover-Foxcroft and Thelma and Keith Ross of LaGrange; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Acor of Canisteo, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Janice Rines of Newburgh and two special nephews, Eugene Turner of LaGrange and Keith Strout of Fort Fairfield. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Roberta Acor; and a brother-in-law, Galen Holmes. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will be at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. A reception will be afterward at the Odd Fellows Hall, Station Road, Easton.
