NEWPORT – Leon Kevin Dudley, 42, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday night Feb. 1, 2006. He was born Jan. 12, 1964, in Lincoln. Leon’s early years were lived in Passadumkeag. He graduated from Howland High School and continued his education at the University of Maine. Leon enlisted in the U.S. Navy having served three years in Iceland. He is survived and will be sadly missed by his mother, Gail Larkin of West Enfield; his father, Leland Dudley of Newport; three daughters, Meagan, Brooke and Jessica; sister, Joline Godfrey of Ojai, Calif.; brother, Lee Brent Dudley of Passadumkeag; aunts, nieces, nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Leslie Nesin, officiating.
