SHERMAN – Leonard D. Michaud, 87, died April 27, 2007, in Houl-ton. He was born Jan. 31, 1920, in East Millinocket, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Dishon) Michaud. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Corp during World War II, serving as a tail gunner in a B-17. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for several years. Leonard was featured in a Bud Leavitt article pertaining to his fly fishing skills. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Agnes (Gallagher) Michaud of Sherman; five children, Joseph Michaud and Melinda, both of Connecticut, Carol Dunphy of Island Falls, Joseph King of Sherman, and Robert King of Island Falls; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Osborn of East Millinocket and Lillian Miller of Goffstown, N.H.; a special mother-in-law, Velma Gallagher; and a special nephew, Regis and his wife, Beverly Beaulieu; several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Leonard’s request, there will be no services. Interment will be at Sherman Mills Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
