EASTON – Mary E. Cumming, 81, wife of late Morrison J. Cumming, died April 28, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Westfield, the daughter of Frank and Ella (Carpenter) Hamilton. Mary was an active member of Easton Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed sharing her many gifts and her love of cooking, especially her bread and donuts. Raising her family and their care took up most of her time, but she did find time to enjoy crafts of all types, sewing and scrapbooking. Surviving her are her children, Danny and Carolyn Cum-ming of Dover Foxcroft, Carol and Larry Smalt of Sanford, Carolyn Drummey of Wiscasset, Brian and Jill Cumming of Mars Hill, Patricia and Brandon Berger of Austin, Texas, Naomi and Andy Oakes of Winterport, and Gregory and Kim Cumming of Richmond; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grand-children, two great-great-grandchildren and one pending; her sisters, Fran Bishop of Presque Isle, Linda Boyd of Mars Hill, Jane Kneeland of Robinson, and Betty Lytle of Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews. In addition her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Monday at Easton Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Matthew Maxwell and the Rev. Richard Bell officiating. Relatives and friends may call 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Gifts in her memory may be made to the church.
