FORT KENT – Leone Ouellette, 92, died Jan. 10, 2004, at an Eagle Lake healthcare facility. She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Docite and Elise (Cyr) Daigle. Leone was a life member of the P.B.W. and a member of the N.M.M.C. Hospital Guild, both of Fort Kent. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid violin player. She will dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Elmer Ouellette of Soldier Pond and her daughter, Verna Holmquist, of Caribou; three grandchildren, Pam Holmquist of Anchorage, Alaska, Lynn Babin of Fort Kent, and Sandy Ouellette of Van Buren; two great-grandchildren, Justin Babin stationed in Ansbach, Germany, and Mathew Cummings of Van Buren; two sisters, Adrienne Daigle of Fort Kent, and Corrine Russel of Old Orchard Beach; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she predeceased by her husband, Sylva Ouellette in 1973; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Ouellette in 1991; and son-in-law, John Holmquist in 1999; three sisters, Carmen Desjardins, Eva Gagnon, Bertha Pelletier; and two brothers, Leo Kim Daigle and Romeo Daigle. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
