DANFORTH and GLENBURN – LeRoy E. Cropley, 73, husband of the late Gladys (Lee) Cropley, died March 26, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Danforth, the son of Grover and Arlena (Young) Cropley. LeRoy’s passion was gardening, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by four children, Galen Cropley and his wife, Cheryl, Carla and her husband, Carl Jordan Sr., all of Bangor, Alyn Brown of Glenburn, David Cropley and his wife, Wendy, of Chaplin, Conn.; three brothers and their wives, Alston and Maxine Cropley, Eugene and Linda Cropley, all of Lambert Lake, Leslie and Peggy Cropley of Staffordsville, Conn.; one sister and her husband, Loretta and Wayne Delong of Bridgewater; and his sister-in-law, Leone Cropley of Danforth; 12 grandchildren, Gaylann, Carl Jr., Randy, Colette, Timothy, Ann Marie, Tina, Mary-Anna, Elizabeth, James, Louis, Josh; and several great-grandchildren including his very special little daffodil, Jasmyn. In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by three brothers, Omar, Vernon Sr., Grover Jr.; his sister, Elizabeth; and his granddaughter, Tanya Lynn. A service of remembrance will be held 6 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Hermon Baptist Church with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor, officiating.
