LEWISTON – Leta M. St. Peter, 66, a resident of Monroe Street, Livermore Falls, died Friday evening, Oct. 28, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She was born Sept. 10, 1939, in Woodland, the daughter of Lawrence and Ellen (Soule) Reed Sr. She was a graduate from Lincoln High School. On Oct. 22, 1962, Leta married Richard St. Peter in Lincoln. Richard passed away Jan. 2, 2004. Leta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked in retail sales and later as a bartender for many years at Hillside Sports Club, AmVets Lane-Dube Post No. 33 and the VFW Frank L. Mitchell Post No. 3335 in Jay retiring in 2004 due to her illness. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW Frank L. Mitchell Post No. 3335 and was very active in raising money for charitable activities. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Richard and her husband, David, and Jean Burnham, both of Jay; two grandsons, Brandon Richard and Michael Burnham; two brothers, Randolf Reed and his wife, Carol, of White Plains, N.Y. and Larry Reed Jr. of Lincoln. She was predeceased by her father, Lawrence Reed; her husband, Richard St. Peter; and son-in-law, Larry Burnham. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Interment Pleasant View, Readfield Road, Livermore Falls.
