MADAWASKA – Levite J. Cyr, 81, died Oct. 11, 2005, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Green River, N.B., Canada, the son of Pierre and Louise (Clavette) Cyr. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Thomas O. Cyr Legion Post No. 147 of Madawaska. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Therese (Michaud) Cyr of Madawaska; one son, Lionel and his wife, Elizabeth, of Sterling, Conn.; two daughters, Barbara Chase and her husband, Steven and Linda Cyr, all of Naples, Fla.; one brother, Rosaire Cyr of Madawaska; two sisters, Rita Deprey of Madawaska, Levina Rabette of France; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Stacey Kobyluch and Travis Ursin. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home 10 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
