OCALA, Fla. – Lewis Adams died unexpectedly April 21, 2004, in Ocala, Fla. His loving family was at his side at the time of his passing. Lewis was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Roy and Lettie (Whitten) Adams. Bud was a graduate of Ricker Classical Institute. Enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1957, he served during World War II and later remained in government service as Chief of Personnel in the active reserve for 30 years. After retirement, Bud and his wife, Bonnie lived in Georgia and Florida. Bud is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two sons, David Adams and Mark McConnel; two daughters, Vicki Partridge and Cheryl Livengood; five grandson, Kyle and Christopher McConnel, Joshua and Daniel Partridge, Ben Adams; a very special granddaughter, Sara Partridge; two sisters, Evangeline Bates and Linda Hurd. A committal service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Jewell Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.
