LINCOLN – Lewis C. Whitter, 73, husband of Jacqueline Griffin Whittier, died May 21, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born April 12, 1933, in Lincoln, a son of Cleveland Tyler and Doris Currier Whittier. He served in the U.S. Army in which he retired from. He is survived by his wife, a son, Lewis Whitter Jr.; a brother, Altie Whittier; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Avis Corliss and Kathleen Jimmo.
