BANGOR – Lila C. Davis, 62, died April 5, 2007, at her home. She was born May 19, 1944, in Dixmont, the daughter of Harold M. and Hazel Elizabeth (Norris) Stevens. Lila was a 1962 graduate of Carmel High School and married Douglas F. Davis, in Bangor, in 1970. Lila had unconditional love, especially for children. She loved cooking, gardening and building rock walls. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met and no one could forget her. Lila lit up a room when she entered. She worked at many local restaurants and the YWCA. Surviving are her loving husband of 36 years, Douglas of Bangor; two daughters, Lori-Ann of Orono and Vicky of Brewer; three stepsons, one stepdaughter and their families; two very special grandsons, Joshua and Bradley. Lila is also survived by her “second” mother, Eva Smith of Bangor; a brother, Lloyd of Brooks; and a sister, Joline Thompson of Brewer. She will be lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, her great-granddaughter and by many many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a beloved son, Steven; two sisters and three brothers. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 10, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor G. Tracy Cook, of the Church of Hope, Corinth, officiating. Private interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
