MADAWASKA – Lillian (Cote) Lagasse, 91 years and nine months, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Drummond, New Brunswick, the daughter of Edward and Malvina (Leclair) Cote. She was predeceased by her husband, Clovis Lagasse, in 1995; and also a son, Ronald, in 1991. Lillian is survived by five children, Grace “Gracia” Ouellette and her husband, Rosaire, of Madawaska, Teresa Drombrowski and her husband, Edward, of New York, Charlene Levesque of Madawaska, Beverly Pelletier and her husband, Percy, of Waterville, and Roderick Lagasse and his wife, Joan, of Waterville; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, three sisters, many nieces and nephews. She was a Lady of St. Anne for more than 40 years. Lillian would often bring Holy Communion to the sick and elderly for many years. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at St. Thomas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home. Those who wish, contributions in Lillian’s memory may be made to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O. Box 688, Caribou, ME 04736. Burial will be at Madawaska Cemetery.
