PLYMOUTH – Lillian M. Adair, 81, wife of the late Ray Adair, entered into rest Sunday, May 7, 2006, at her home after a long illness. She was born April 2, 1925, a daughter of Lee and Cassie (Garrison) Gustin of Blaine and Newport. On Oct. 4, 1952, she married her husband of 54 years. They built their home in Plymouth on the Moosehead Trail in 1962. She was a loving wife, homemaker and mother. She is survived by a daughter, Constance (Adair) Sanborn Scott of Charleston; two sisters, Hilda Townsend of Newport and Genevieve Emery of Detroit; three grandchildren, Rob, Corey and Bethany; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Lillian was predeceased by an infant daughter, Virginia Lee Adair in 1947; a sister, Alma Cowan; and five brothers, Gordon, Harrison, Lawrence, Gerald and Aldine Gustin. The family thanks Dr. Kevin Flanigan of Pittsfield for his kind and tender care of Lillian during her illness. Friends may call 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at the funeral home with the Rev.
