BANGOR – Lillian (Mendelson) Shane, wife of the late Charles Shane, died Dec. 8, 2003, at her Bangor home. She was born April 30, 1907, in Malden, Mass., the daughter of Benjamin and Rebecca (Cohen) Mendelson. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Small of Portland, Marvin Shane of Bangor, Ann Needle of Chelmsford, Mass., Marsha Brann of Northampton, N.H.; her brother, William Mendelson of Woburn, Mass.; her sisters, Ida and Sadie Stein, both of Boston; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
