WATERVILLE – Lincoln Robert Morin, 26, was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord Feb. 26, 2006, due to a suspected heart attack. He was born June 21, 1979, in Rockport, the son of Robert Morin and Lanelle (McQuarrie) Freeman. Lincoln graduated from Winslow High School in 1997. He then attended college at the University of Tampa in Florida before returning home to Maine. He attended Hopefull Ministries in Winslow. Lincoln had been working for Pine State Trading Company as a sales representative for the past seven years. On June 23, 2000, Lincoln married Amy Hunt, the love of his life. They had recently become licensed foster parents and had plans of adopting a child in the near future. He enjoyed traveling to anywhere the sun was shining and most of all he loved spending time with family. In the summer, he could usually be found at the family camp spending time on his boat. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed a very special relationship with his maternal grandmother. Lincoln and his wife, Amy, spent many nights playing Boggle with Gram. Lincoln had a variety of talents, ambitions and hobbies. Lincoln touched the lives of those he met with his zest for life and quick wit. His sense of humor, contagious laughter, engaging charm and spontaneity will be missed by all who knew him. He lived each day to the fullest and took life one day at a time. Lincoln’s charismatic personality was truly unique. Surviving are his wife, Amy (Hunt) Morin of Waterville whom he referred to as his soulmate; his mother, Lanelle and her husband, Art Freeman, of Winslow; his father, Robert Morin and his partner, Amie Almasi, of Bath; three brothers, Caleb Morin and his fiance, Fallon Poulin, of Farmington, Dustin Freeman of Portland and Dan Freeman of Chelsea; his maternal grandmother, Reta McQuarrie of Winslow; paternal grandparents, Pete and Florence Morin of Winslow; a maternal uncle, Michael and his wife, Shirley McQuarrie, of Vassalboro; and his maternal aunt, Dawn (McQuarrie) and her husband, Thomas Slough, of Arkansas; his father-in-law, Richard Hunt of Dexter; his sister-in-law, Kim and her husband, Pat, of Lincoln; paternal uncles, Father Frank Morin of Calais, Thomas and Kathy Morin and William and Lorraine Morin, all of Oakland, Richard and Sally Morin, John and Cheryl Morin, all of Winslow; aunts, Mary (Morin) and her husband, Lloyd Quirion, of Winslow and Ann (Morin) and Bob Densmore of Canaan; as well as many cousins and best friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Donald McQuarrie; his cousin, Kimberly McQuarrie; and his mother-in-law, Cynthia Hunt. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Faith Evangelical Free Church, Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville. Pallbearers will be Paul Decoteau, Gary Pierce, Scott St. Peter, Rick Pelkey, Rory Saunders and Pat House. A reception will follow the service at Hopefull Ministries, Augusta Road, Winslow.
