LINDELL J. CAIN BANGOR – Lindell Jeptha Cain, 85, the husband of Elizabeth (Folsom) Cain, died June 18, 2004, at a Bangor nursing home after a long illness. He was born June 3, 1919, in St. Albans, the son of William and Grace (Ross) Cain. He was a graduate of N.H. Faye High School in Dexter, Class of 1938. He moved to Pepperell, Mass., and returned to Bangor about 12 years ago. He earned a Journeyman Certificate at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and worked as a machinist all his life. He was a member of the Bangor Baptist Church and the Silver Saints Seniors Group. He was twice a past master of St. Paul Lodge, AF & AM in Ayer, Mass., and a member of Aleppo Temple Shrine. Lindell loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and golfing. Surviving in addition to his wife of Bangor, are a daughter, Janice Catanese and her fianc?, Andy Smith, of Lewiston; a son, Gregory Cain and his wife, Karen, of New Ipswitch, N.J.; and a daughter, Cynthia Whelpley and her husband, Douglas, of Hooksett, N.H.; a stepson, Bradley Snow and his wife, Jolene, of Bradford; a stepdaughter, Holly Burnell and her husband, Jay, of Bridgton; and a stepson, Jeffrey Snow of Etna; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lindell was predeceased by his first wife, Rita Jean (Roberge) Cain in 1980; a brother, Norman; and a sister, Evelyn Bartlett. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with the Rev. Rick Snell officiating. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by Olive Branch Lodge No. 124, AF & AM of Charleston. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, St. Albans.
