LEVANT – Linwood D. Stewart, 81, died Nov. 30, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Orrington, the son of Neil and Flora May (Livingston) Stewart. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II, and was a member of the V.F.W. of Orrington. Linwood was a noted cattle dealer, always attending the local auctions, and enjoyed his farm and animals. He is survived by his sister, Anita Robbins and her husband, Paul, of Veazie; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Stewart of Bucksport and Ellen Stewart of Orrington; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Danny Stewart and his wife, Nancy, of Bucksport. He was predeceased by two sisters, Waneta Butler and Patricia McEwen; five brothers Abbot, Earl, Daniel, Rowan, and Neil Stewart. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be in Dean Hill Cemetery, Orrington. Donations may be made in his memory to the Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
