FORT KENT – Lionel V. Nadeau, 84, died Oct. 16, 2006, surrounded by his family at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born April 9, 1922, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, the son of Venny Nadeau and Rosa Albert. Lionel loved fishing on Long Lake with his good buddy, Denis Sylvain. His greatest love was his children, grandchildren and great-grand-children. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucie (Thibodeau) Nadeau of Fort Kent; 10 children, Therese Bouchard and her husband, Roger, of St. Francois, New Brunswick, Yves Nadeau and his wife, Rinette, of Fort Kent, Donald Nadeau and his wife, Beverly, of Fort Kent, Gisele St. Onge and her husband, Gaetan, of Toronto, Canada, Jeannel Nadeau and his wife, Theresa, of Fort Kent, Micheline Albert and her husband, Brian, of Mud Lake, Bertrand Nadeau and his wife, Pauline, of Clair, New Brunswick, Cleo Nadeau and his wife, Diane of Winterville, Mona Fournier and her husband, Patrick, of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Guy Nadeau and his wife, Louise, of Soldier Pond; one brother, Cleo Nadeau of Matana, Canada; one sister, Therese Thibodeau of Detroit, Mich.; 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Leo Nadeau. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be held at a later date. Those who wish may donate in his memory to the Fort Kent Hill Manor Activities Fund, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
