KENDUSKEAG – Lloyd William Pullen, 80, died Feb. 3, 2005, at his home in Kenduskeag. He was born April 11, 1924, in Kenduskeag, the son of William Ellison and Bertha Maude (Allen) Pullen. Lloyd was a member of teamsters local No. 340 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the battle of the bulge. Lloyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bangor and for many years scout master of troop No. 45 of Kenduskeag. He was a member and past master of the Minerva Grange of Levant, Penobscot Pomona, Maine State Grange, and a 7th degree member of the National Grange. A member of Kenduskeag lodge No. 137 AF & AM of Kenduskeag, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Bangor, Maine Consistory 32nd degree, and Anah Shriners. Lloyd was a well known organist, and was the Church organist at the Kenduskeag Union Church for many years and for other groups and organizations. He was also an outdoor enthusiast and will be remembered for his zest for life. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Noyes) Pullen of Kenduskeag; six children, Cheryl Berry and her husband, Dennis, Cameron Pullen and his wife, Jeannine, Dianne Townsend and her husband, Bruce, Marilynn Allen and her husband, Mark, Teresa McDonald and her husband, George, Mary Ann Roy, and her husband, Mark; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, William Ellison Pullen, and Gregory Earl Pullen; one grandson, Kevin Lloyd Berry. A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor with the Rev. Dr. Randall C. Chretien pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bangor officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service Monday, at Brookings-Smith, Bangor. Spring interment will be in the Kenduskeag Village Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Lloyd in a special way may make gifts in his memory to CancerCare of Maine, care of EMMC, P.O.
