FORT KENT – Louis Hebert, 81, died March 8, 2005, at his Fort Kent residence. He was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Fort Kent, the son of Maxime and Alice (Lozier) Hebert. Louis was a member of the VFW Lozier-O’Grady Post No. 9609 and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was employed as a clerk for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad for 18 years. He was also employed as a U.S. Immigration Officer from 1972 until his retirement in 1986. He is survived by one sister, Bernadette Dubois of Fort Kent; a sister-in-law, Roselle Hebert of Fort Kent; two nephews, Michael Dubois of Fort Kent, and Raymond Hebert of Lewiston. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. Friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service Friday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery, May 18, 2005.
