PORTLAND – Louis Maddocks, 35, of Portland, passed away peacefully, March 7, 2005, at Maine Medical Center, with his family at his side. He was born Oct. 7, 1969, in Bangor, the son of Mary Ketchum Maddocks of Portland and Raymond Maddocks Sr. of Pownal. Louis attended several schools in Maine. While attending the Scarborough schools, he took part in track and field and excelled in the high jump. He enjoyed antique muscle cars and owned a 1966 mustang. Louis enjoyed motorcross and excelled at that also. He enjoyed NASCAR and mudding with his Nissan Pathfinder. He loved the ocean not only for its beauty but he found it to be soothing and peaceful. He is survived by a stepmother, Sandra Maddocks of Pownal; two sisters, Donna Maddocks of Colma, Calif., Pamela Terry and her husband, Robert Terry, of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Raymond Maddocks Jr. of San Rafael, Calif. and John Maddocks of Portland; two stepbrothers, Tobie Quint and his wife, Leann, of Lisbon and Michael Quint and his wife, Donna, of Gunnison, Colo.; an aunt and an uncle, Rachel and Alan Davis of South Portland; and a niece and nephew and other extended family members living on Indian Island in Old Town. There will be a funeral Mass to be held at the Saint Ann’s Catholic Church on Indian Island, Old Town. Please contact family members for details. There will be a graveside memorial at the Mayberry Cemetery in Windham, which will be held some time in the spring.
